Agents that draft your patents — and know exactly where to stop

Describe an invention and IP Craft's agents draft the application, prepare the filing, and track every statutory deadline — for startups, enterprises, and law firms. A human-approval gate on every AI output — you, or your own counsel, review, sign, and file.

AI-assisted drafting & review

AI writes the first draft from your own disclosures and case history. You review and approve it before it goes anywhere.

  • It drafts claim sets, spec sections, and Office-action responses. All of them stay editable.
  • It writes from your matter's own files and history — not from generic boilerplate.
  • Nothing becomes a filing until you, or your own counsel, sign off. That gate cannot be skipped.
  • AI never changes what a claim covers — wider or narrower — and never files, abandons, or moves a deadline on its own. Those stay human calls, by design.

Statutory deadline docketing

We work out your USPTO deadlines from what has actually happened on the case, so no date depends on someone remembering it.

  • Response dates, issue fees, maintenance fees, and appeals are all computed from the case record.
  • That record is only ever added to, never edited or deleted (append-only), so the dates can always be re-checked against it.
  • When something new happens, the dates are worked out again. You only see the ones still open.
  • Reminders go to the practitioner responsible. You choose which of the optional ones you get.
  • A deadline is never allowed to be wrong. We treat that as non-negotiable. It is computed, never guessed.

Invention-disclosure intake

Hand us the raw material for an invention. We turn it into one organized, searchable set of files the drafting works from.

  • Send documents, Word files, slide decks, spreadsheets, meeting transcripts, and figures.
  • We pull out the text and sort it by matter. Your originals are kept exactly as you sent them.
  • This is what the AI drafts from, which is what keeps the draft tied to the real invention.

Trust & control

The controls a law practice needs are part of how this is built, not added on later.

  • Each client's work is walled off from every other client's in the database itself (row-level security) — not just hidden in the interface.
  • Your invention stays yours. Export it whenever you want, and we never train our models on your data.
  • Every AI output and every human decision is written to a record that can be added to but never rewritten.
  • AI outputs wait for a human to approve them. IP Craft assists a practitioner; it does not practice law.
